At Scholarship Prep Oceanside, the Arts are not just an addition to our curriculum—they are a cornerstone of our educational philosophy. This past May, our dedicated students, led by the talented drama instructor Mr. Shaver, showcased their hard work and creativity in a captivating production of Disney's Aladdin Jr. The historic Star Theatre in Oceanside served as the perfect backdrop for this magical performance, which was the culmination of months of preparation and dedication.

Our drama program, an integral part of our elective classes and after-school offerings, brought together students from across the grade levels. The second semester was a whirlwind of rehearsals, set designs, costume fittings, and line memorization. Under Mr. Shaver's expert guidance, students learned the nuances of theatrical performance, from vocal projection to stage presence, all while fostering a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie.

The excitement grew as our cast and crew, supported by staff and family volunteers, worked tirelessly to bring Agrabah to life. Over three spectacular performances, audiences were transported by the enchanting story of Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar, and the Genie. The students' passion and talent shone through, earning standing ovations and applause from all who attended.

Scholarship Prep recognizes the profound impact that the Arts have on our students' development. Participation in drama and other artistic disciplines not only nurtures creativity but also enhances critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and emotional intelligence. Our commitment to the Arts ensures that our Scholars receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for a bright and dynamic future and opens up pathways to scholarships.
