Scholarship Prep Public Schools Appoints Carrie Birchler to its Board of Directors

Santa Ana, CA – Scholarship Prep, a high performing network of public charter schools, announces the appointment of Carrie Birchler to its Board of Directors.

"As Scholarship Prep continues to expand its footprint with new schools in Southern California, it is critical to grow our board with additional talent and expertise,” said Senator Gloria Romero (Ret.), co-founder and executive director of Scholarship Prep Schools. “Carrie brings an insightful perspective and a deep commitment of service to our Board and our Scholars, and we look forward to her active participation.”

Carrie Birchler is a marketing and outreach leader with more than a decade of experience in education. Birchler currently heads marketing and outreach at Damien High School in La Verne. Prior to her current role, Birchler held leadership positions for several public and private schools with a focus on marketing, outreach and public relations. Birchler graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy and Communications.

“It is a great honor to join the Scholarship Prep Board,” said Birchler. “I look forward to working with such an esteemed board and to serve a high achieving network of schools that offers students the public education they deserve.”

Birchler joins a distinguished Scholarship Prep Board of Directors that includes: Board Chair, Charles Friedrichs, Ed.D., Treasurer, Rand Sperry, Secretary, Taryn Burgess, Jerome Torres, and Crystal Madaule.
